The Bereavement Grant.

This government grant was formerly known as the Death Grant.  The Bereavement Grant is not means tested; it is a one off payment of €850.00, in order to offset the costs of the funeral. 

At any stage of the funeral arrangement, Stafford’s are available to guide you through the application process.  The form itself will be included in your folder-bound information pack.  

You may also be entitled to a further grant, depending on circumstances.  Please feel free to enquire about this at any of our offices or with the Funeral Director undertaking your family funeral.
