Fr Jimmy Sheil was one of the kindest and helpful Priests you could ever meet. My association with him, stems from his time at the parish of the ‘Sacred Heart and Mary Immaculate’ in Mill Hill London. This was in the nineteen seventies. So many memories come crowding back, also various ‘characters’ such as ‘Bridie’ the housekeeper. I took Fr for a farewell meal to a Bernie Inn in Stanmore, now Harvesters. Fr Sheil blessed my father’s grave for me(a non Catholic) at Hendon Cemetery. May the “ALMIGHTY” now reward him with a well earned place in heaven, alongside his mother(whom I met) brothers and other relations. “REQUIESCANT IN PACE” Fr Jimmy.

It was a privilege to have known Fr James Vincent Sheil CM. when he was serving as a priest at the Church of the Sacred Heart and Mary Immaculate, in Mill Hill, North West London, Diocese of Westminster. This was back in the 1970’s. I will always remember him, for his ‘kindness’ to me in so many ways! May the ‘Almighty’ now reward this kind and holy Priest with ‘Eternal Life’ he justly deserves it! R.I.P. Fr ‘Jimmy’.
