William Madden, Malahide, County Dublin

It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Dad Bill Madden on 8th June 2026. Bill died suddenly but peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend as well as a proud Mayo man. He loved spending time with his family and friends and always enjoyed a chat and a good singsong. Bill is predeceased by his wife Eileen (nee Prendergast), his parents Michael and Frances and siblings Joseph, Frances, Margaret, Una, Michael, John and Pat.

Bill will be deeply mourned by his children Helen, Liam, Micheal, Stephen and Simon; his treasured grandchildren Oisin, Mary, Aodhan, Danny, Anna, Alex, Eabha and Emmet; his daughters-in-law Catherine, Judy and Hilary; nieces, nephews, sister-in-law Margaret, brothers in law Joe and Paddy, the extended Madden and Prendergast families, his many friends and great neighbours down through the years.

Bill goes now to the next life, where he will be reunited with his wife and soulmate Eileen, his parents and siblings.

Bill will repose on Friday afternoon 12th June in Stafford’s Funeral Home, Strand Road, Portmarnock from 3pm until 5pm. Removal on Saturday morning at 9.40am to St. Sylvester’s Church, Malahide, arriving for 10am Funeral Mass, followed immediately thereafter by burial in Fingal Cemetery.

Family flowers only please. No donations are necessary, but should you wish to make one, the family would like to support Pieta House.
