BYRNE Imelda (formerly Hamilton), (of Donnycarney, Dublin 5, late of Coolock, Dublin 17), June 6th 2023. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at St Francis Hospice, Raheny. Very sadly missed by her daughter Anna, son Patrick, son-in-law Mark, daughter-in-law Caroline, grandchildren Paul, Sean, Shane, Aoife, Ciara, Sinead and Tommy, great grandchild Baby Bump O’Reilly, sister Angela, in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Staffords Funeral Home, Maypark, Donnycarney, on Friday, June 9th, from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Saturday morning to Our Lady of Consolation Church, Donnycarney, arriving for 10am mass. Afterwards to Glasnevin Crematorium.
At Imelda’s request, colourful clothing preferred.

Deeply missed by his beloved wife Mary, daughter Eithne, son Greg, grandchildren Ciara and Isabel, son-in-law Adrian, brother Frank, sisters-in-law Breda, Finola, Patsy and Ursula, as well as extended family and friends. Predeceased by his brothers Gerry, Vincent, Colum and Jim.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather and passionate sailor, he had a remarkable career, including serving as Chairman of IDA, Irish Distillers, Aviva, Norwich Union and Irish Ropes, and Director of the Killeen Group, Cadbury Ireland, and Nokia.
No flowers please, donations in lieu to RNLI or Mater Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care).
