Mary Shortt, Dublin 10

We are heartbroken to announce the death of our mother Mary (May) Shortt (nee O’Rourke). A wonderful mother, mother in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Predeceased by her loving husband Paddy, her four sons; Alan, Martin, Robert and Paddy; and her three grandsons (Kenneth, Craig and Darren). May passed away peacefully at home on Saturday 10th April at the great age of 101 with her loving family by her side. She will be greatly missed by her children; May, Michael, Terry, Oliver, Caroline and Dorothea, her sons-in-law and daughters n-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her sister Francis, and all her extended family, neighbours and friends.
May she Rest in Peace.
In line with Covid-19 restrictions, the church is limited to 10 people. Please wear facemasks at all times and refrain from shaking hands and hugging. The Shortt family would like to thank her long time carer Helen, and all the other carers who helped look after May at home during the past year. A special thanks to Eithne (the OT), Louise (the District Nurse), her GP; Dr. Jane Murphy, the Palliative Care team and nurse Donna and Dr. Knee for the exceptional and special care they gave our mother.
