Sullivan Edmond (Eddie), Malahide and formerly of Whitehall and former Secretary General, Public Service Department of Finance and Secretary General, Social Welfare, 16th January 2023. Peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff in the Mater Private Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband and best friend of Frances. Adored father of Niamh, Sinéad and Éamonn, sons-in-law Rory and Dave, Éamonn’s partner Jacquelyn, amazing grandad to Aisling, Colm and Aoibhín, sister Siobhan, also remembering his late parents Eddie and Joan, sister Martina and brothers Tadhg and Kevin. Eddie will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.
May He Rest in Peace.
Reposing in Staffords Funeral Home, Golf Links Road, Portmarnock on Friday, 20th January, from 3pm to 5pm. Removal to St. Sylvester’s Church, Malahide on Saturday morning for 10.30am Funeral Mass followed by burial in St. Fintan’s cemetery, Sutton. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society.

I’m very sorry about the passing of Edmond.He was always a thorough gentleman and will be a great loss to his family,friends and the GAA.I go back to St Aidan and was in the same class.
